In this One Person Show class in undergrad, we learned about one person shows, watched clips of the shows, researched fringe festivals, completed journal assignments, and ultimately divised our own one-person piece. By the end of the class, we each developed approximately ten minutes of material and had the opportunity to perform it for our peers. In addition, we created an outline for the entire show so that we could continue to write the piece.

“You Incomplete Me” is a one-person show about a woman navigating her love life while battling the loneliness and reality that comes with being a human. Showing a variety of dates and experiences, the piece explores the central question, does love consume us or complete us?
